tell me more about this, please. Is it home doable? I've got a hydaulic press and dial indicators and such from doing various other transfer case and differential repairs (not LR). I find the excess backlash clunk very irritating and if I can fix it before breakage I would like to do so.

thanks!

Yep it's garage doable just like anything else on these trucks. Landroverresource.com has the LT230 pdf. Ashcroft Transmissions Ashcroft has the parts.

I'd be giving you more information but I'm pooped. Just sat down tonight. Four long days working on Rovers and now I get ready for four more 12 hour days at my real job.

Do it up, somebody here besides me needs to play with a scatter box.

That's all I needed was to be pointed in the right direction. Thank you much sir! When I finally get to it I'll post about it. I have driven/ owned numerous other FullTime 4x4 with NP203 t-cases and they never had that much backlash....so, I had an hunch that my Disco shouldn't either.

thanks again!
