Driver Side Lock Cylinder
Tried to lock the car, and heard something snap. Cylinder is loose now.
Previously, the passenger lock would also not automatically lock.
If locked from inside the car, everything works.
Should I replace just the cylinder, or do I need to get the whole handle assembly? thanks.

You probably just need part # STC1220 for the driver door or STC1219 for the passenger door Mine snapped and the key would just turn in circles. You just need to pop the door card off and remove the door lock actuator to access the back of the lock. Remove the circlip and broken plastic pieces and reassemble with the new pieces. Just be careful to not lose the tiny little clear plastic bubble piece that deactivates the alarm. I lost that piece and even though my lock is now functional, I can't use it because 9 times out of 10 it sets off my alarm and immobilizes the vehicle.
Hope this helps.
