When I get in, I can barely get my legs between the seat and the steering wheel. I am pretty tall, but sitting in the seat, my line of sight is about 3 inches above the windshield unless I recline the seat back.

I noticed that under the seat base cushion, there appears to be a ratchet-like for a tie down strap. anybody with a Disco 1 know how much room between the front edge of the seat and the bottom of the steering wheel (with the tilt all the way up) Otherwise I will be doing some customizing to the seat mounts...

Non-electric seats-

 

They're all like that in my experience. You have to stretch your legs out and slide in. Watch the reflection of the stop lights on your hood, hahaha!!

 

Yep, on d2 I am happy enough to not have my head sticking through the roof, that I just overlook the inability to bend my knee much. Plus, I fit in well in some nearby neighborhoods with my seat leaning way back. My girls size 7s are a bit annoying. "Daddy kick, daddy bounce, hehehehe"

 

It's funny because once you're in there there is TONS of leg room.

 

I agree, once you get in, there is plenty of leg room. Guess I will be modifying the seat mount this summer.
