Installed GEMS APP to Android paired to ELM327 however when connecting to ECU app just continues to search no connection. Any ideas?

Key on engine off (KOEO)? Have you used the ELM device with a different app (e.g. Torque)? On a different vehicle?

I had connectivity problems with really cheap eBay ELMs on other cars. I have not had a problem with OBDLink LX model.

I tried it on a different truck with Torque App and got the same result! I’m buying another maybe I’ll get lucky!

I got another elm 327 2.1 version, same problem no connection to ECU! Tried to pair and unpair
and quit the torque app.then restart the app. Plug and unplug dongle. I guess its possible to get another fake dongle! I have read many responses on this problem. Some ELMS work, some are JUNK. I guess the resolve is buy a better U.S. made dongle.

did you check fuse 3 in satellite fuse box 2? That powers the OBD port.

Is that in the cabin or in the engine compartment?

It’s in the lower left dash panel Sat C fuse position 3 10 amp Engine Management. I’ll check it! Thanks

Got a new ELM327 to connect to Ecu! Now the alarms are synced to ECU. However now I’m wondering if the key fobs are paired?
