Where are you located? How much you figure to ask for it?

I am in Mississippi. The truck has OME suspension/springs/steering stabilizer, new bosch alternator, new radiator, new water pump, new valley gasket, new fuel pump, cross drilled rotors and brakes, new power steering pump, new plugs and wires, new headliner, new tie rods, new radiator hoses/reservoir, brand new goodyear armortrac tires, brush guard, piaa 520 lights, window tint, jbl radio/cd with subwoofers installed in factory door panel, new head liner, viper 5902 color screen alarm with remote start. Pretty much everything on there. Prob list for around 6k.

I thought you said it is a 98 with a bad motor? And you expct to get around Six Thousand Dollars for that?

You do realize that things like tinted windows, new headliner, new viper whatever and so forth are worth very little when the motor is bad do you not?

Even if it were pristine and had a new motor that is all you could expect to get for it in my opinion. As is, you would be doing good to get a grand for it.

The motor is not bad. The thermostat was stuck closed. I did a pressure test/block tester and it held with no exhaust in coolant. If I cannot get that for it I will just keep it as I have put half of that in parts in the thing.

Oh, I misunderstood what you said, even with it running great, SIX GRAND is quite a bit for a 98DI.

You might find someone willing to pay that, but probably not on here.

Yeah, I am going to list it on CL. My wife just does not want to drive it anymore b/c it keeps having issues..... even though the issues are mostly minor, they take lots of time to figure out. I could always keep it for a project vehicle since it consumes my time. I do kinda enjoy working on it though as it challenges my diagnosing ability along with the fellow LR Forums Members.

Yeah, most of them develop their ow quirks and can be quite the challenge. Not a just jump in and go like some other cars out there.

Since it is an aluminumn block, you do need to be very careful in regard to repeated incidents like you went thru as they will bring o additional problems.

Once you get a handle on them, get the systems serviced and operating properly they will do amazing things if handled correctly.

And then you never want to part with them.
