Default Exhaust Manifold

I was working towards changing my transmission filter/fluid on the D1. I also planned on replacing my exhaust gaskets at the heads and the manifold/pipe as I have multiple leaks. I broke the studs on the drivers side manifold. I have the forward exhaust pipes disconnected but hanging.

What is the easiest way to get the drivers side exhaust manifold out so I can replace the studs? The passenger side came out the top. But short of disassembling the steering shaft, I can't see how I getting it out of there.

TIA

RS

It should come out without removing the steering shaft.

What problem are you having ? Can't get a tool on a particular bolt/nut ?

As far as tasks on the Rover go.. Taking apart the steering shaft is about as simple as it gets...

Thank you AC..........and under the category of "I am a dumb-***"....for documentation purposes. I removed the heat blanket from the steering shaft assembly. Turned the steering wheel 90 degrees thus rotating the knuckle out of the way and the manifold came right out.
