Exterior Power Wire Routing.....wise?
In my quest to finally wire up the lights on the rack and add a power source to the rear, I am trying to figure out how to route the power wires from the engine compartment to the rear passenger rear.
I can go though the interior, routing above the tunnel then back up the side panel. But... what about routing them from the engine compartment, down to the frame rail, passenger side, then up the trailer harness plug?
I can see A/C plumbing and all the fuel lines. Is it safe? From looking at the RAVE electrical harness routing, they completely avoid this area....?

Yea it's safe but you could just as easily run them inside under the panels near the doors and across behind the rear seats. The only bad part about wiring being outside is that it is exposed to the elements.
use proper gxl/txl wire and dont worry about it... NOT the random spools of crap at autozone or napa.
id probably run it inside just for neatness sake, but good gxl/txl should have no problem living outside under your truck.

Thanks ya'll for the feedback...
