Default Factory Battery Tray?

I discovered today while working on my D1 that the battery is just sitting freely in the battery compartment (not tied/held down by anything). It is just sitting on a sheet metal shelf which has two large holes (approx 4-5 inches each) and a couple of smaller holes. My question is, is there some kind of plastic battery tray that is supposed to be under the battery? And if so, how is it secured to the vehicle, and what specifically is the hold-down method? I did a search and found a thread where someone talked about and posted a diagram of the factory hold-down cross member (AMR3679) and j-bolts, but it's not obvious to me where/what those j-bolts would secure to...any pictures would be helpful.

I also see in the diagram in the link below there are two "closing plates" (#5 and #6 on the diagram), but again it's not obvious where these are supposed to be and what they attach to...again if someone has pictures, it would be hugely helpful.

in your diagram #'s 2,3, & 4 hold the battery in place. #2 goes on top while the J-bolts (#3 & #4) hook below the battery and the threaded end of those J-bolts pass through #2 at the ends. Nuts are tightened down to snug it all up.

"for a 2010 Range Rover Supercharged 8 cylinder 5 liter engine" your parts list isn't tuned to the 98 Disco... The panels are welded in, they are there already. With a couple of j-bolts (any parts store will have universal ones) and any piece of metal across the top, the holes for the j-bolts will be centered down on the tray in the bottom lip. The large openings in the bottom are ok, there is plenty to hold the battery.

Thanks. When you say "the J-bolts hook below the battery", what exactly do you mean? Do you mean they just hook onto the sheet metal below? Or is there any kind of tray that should be down there? There are no obvious holes in the sheet metal on the sides of the battery where the j-bolts would hook in (I'm using a group 34 battery as recommended).
