It just occured to me that Savannah Buzz is like the Obi-Wan Kenobi of landroverforums.

And that RAVE is sometimes appropriately named.

As to difficulty reading schematic - you must be a child of the GPS generation. Not much more than a simple road map. They do have an introduction which shows the odd symbols and such that they use.
Thanks for the inspiration - after I calmed down and looked at the schematic I realized how simple it was. Just kind of daunting to a neophyte but as you say as simple as a road map. Thanks for the info, I'll jump under the hood this weekend and see if I can sort this out. Much appreciated Obi-Wan Kenobi!

I have to disagree with that statement. Ever since he added miracle grow to his shade tree to make it taller than mine has pissed me off...

Just to clarify...you have verified that your O2 sensors are giving correct readings?

C equals connector. S equals Splice.

Radio Shack sells a coolant spray for electronics as well.

There is a Marine in Oklahoma that could probably help out a lot....

Also make sure the throttle linkage is not binding up at times. Mine had gotten a little wacky and would jump the RPM's way up at the worst possible times. It went open throttle on me one day for a few seconds, scared the hell out of me, had to knock it into N and kill the engine before it blew. Almost hit someone else too.

True. Have you verified that your butterfly is not binding open and creating a high idle issue? Cleaning the throttle body should remedy any issues there.

On mine, the actual linkage and the cruise control linkage from the bellows got a little wacky, so I yanked the CC, and made sure that linkage was operating smoothly again, a little binding was all it took to have a major malfunction issue.

Default high idle

These disco's are an f**in' mystery!
I recently had a problem with high idle(1000-1500) for no good reason so to make a really long story short... here goes.
I removed the TPS from the plenum but left it plugged in and guess what ? Idle becomes good (750rpm).
I actually had to modify the TPS sensor to get it to (I guess?) send the ECU the right info to idle properly.
It has to do with the throttle butterfly shaft (the flat brass looking thing that sticks out) as it inserts into the TPS. Modify the position of the TPS with a razor knife and a some JB weld where the shaft inserts and voila it idles right at 750 rpm and revs fine. To be more specific I cut out the triangle looking things on the TPS and added a drop of JB weld in the desired position.
Yes, this some shadetree/redneck s**t but if you you do not have access to testbook or auto logic or ? then here's a way to beat the system at least in my case it worked.
Just additional FYI , try to find the GEMS by Poole manual download for Morgans. I found it helpful.
Yes I am talking GEMS here. I cannot speak for anything else.

That link would be http://www.gomog.com/allmorgan/GEMS/GEMSbyPoole.pdf

Also some GEMS info in link below as well.

Not sure if you got it or not yet..

Basically your options are to take it to the dealer (I recommend)

Or swap the ecu with a corresponding tps and..... I'm trying to remember what else it took to make the truck start... I did this plenty of times...

Ummmm... I think it's that black relay box that's next to the ecu
