Love this truck but it is time to move on. Looking for advise to get the most $$ for it.
It has some rust issues(thank you Cleveland OH) so I don't think it is an attractive purchase and a dealership is willing to offer $1,000 for a trade in. I have a ARB bumper with a 5,000lb Warn on it. It is has a 1.5" lift on it with 245 75 R16 on it. Some new/used parts over the past few years that might make good on the used part market.
What's the best move? Would a LR used part shop buy it?
Anyone interested?

Any advice appreciated.

BTW....the final straw to move on was my nephew driving it yesterday on the highway when a brake line severed and had a complete failure. Thought that only happened in the movies. Luckily he didn't panic and was able to down shift and use the emergency brake to negotiate the truck through heavy traffic and get off of the highway.

Of course the stealership will give you $1k for a winch and bumper worth much more than that!

Any dealership will give a thousand trade in on just about anything, even a wheel barrow. Where are you and what true condition is the vehicle in as far as engine, tranny and such?

PM me your phone number, I may be interested,

if you don't fix the brake line then no one can say for certain whats its cost is. You can take the stuff off but being in ohio everything is rusted up and screwed.

Fix the brake line and sell it on craigs list.

question though, how bad is the rust? Are the fenders rotted out or the inner wings around the rear doors rusted out?

Hey man, I'd be interested in that bumper...if you decide upon parting it out or whatever. Sucks you're having to get rid of it, though I totally understand, that's scary; kudos to your nephew
