Default Few questions about 1998 Dicovery

1. Is there supposed to be a bracket to hold rear license plate on? If so the Dicovery II the same bracket?

2. I only have one key and one remote. Is the "stealer" ONLY way to get a new set? I see the key blanks and remotes on ebay cheap and I like to have a spare set for all my cars.

3. Anyone have any experience with RoverNorth rear bumper install? I am wondering what "Requires some modifications to existing rear chassis to mount." actually means.

To hold the rear plate on is just 4 screws, they are a odd ball thread pitch and size si its going to take some searching for screws that work.

As for the key, ILCO CORP #RV4-X239 is the key blank, any hardware store has them.
As for the remote, only the dealer can program it, it must have the bar code inside the remote, if there is no bar code you cannot program it.
Honestly I would just get a couple of keys made and not worry about the remote.
The dealer is going to charge you about $100 to program the remote for you.
You can buy a remote off of e-bay, but like I said, only the dealer can program it.

Also all Disco's use the same key blank, from the '94 upto the '04.
