Yah you may pay just as much in shipping but the alt is north of $400 or so. Good luck AZ.

I hope they put dolly's under the rear wheels or removed the rear driveshaft.
My son tried to get Hawaii but he got Tacoma WA instead.

Aloha kakou!

Being born/raised in Hawaii, I can tell you from experience...finding ANYTHING for a foreign car (other than Toyota, Honda, etc) will be a challenge! EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING is flown in or shipped. The wait time is also looooong...ground packages typically take 7-14 business days.

I think if you call some of the vendors on this and other forums that are on the west coast (CA, WA, OR, etc) you can save a little on shipping vs. ordering from someone from the midwest/east coast.

It's also a good idea to talk to "da bruddahs" at the ONLY Land Rover dealer in Hawaii that is located on Ala Moana Blvd to see if they can work on some better pricing for stuff you can't get online. Try and hook up with the local 4x4 clubs and see if there are other rover owners there.

Oh yeah, mud tires are a must...you'll find tons of super swampers and the like.

Pomaika'i!

I just had a idea, can the hole be welded or patched?
Maybe plugged with Big League Chew?

Funny, I was thinking that too. I had a thread on my rear cargo door, started with JB Weld then someone posted a link to some super NASA type cosmic bonding agent. Someone had punched a hole in their gas tank and he fixed it with a greek coin and this stuff, let me look and I'll post.

I was just talking to my Dad about this stuff last night. He's getting ready to send me some because when I moved to Alaska, I let my older brother have the rest of the tub I had. I love that stuff. If you can get your hands on it affordably, then get it.

You should be able to weld it up, probably cheaper than the shipping on one
