Default First long drive

Well I took my first long drive with arms crossed, and I had a couple observations I wanted to share. It was overall a 40 mile round trip. I got some used tires and a full size spare. Saving up for some treadwrights!

I must say that it drives rather nice till I have to take a tight corner (likely because I need new shocks and springs)

Observations (feel free to comment on your thoughts)

1) Fan was off, but once warm it was kicking out really warm air out of the vents. When I turned the temp dials to the cold area it got somewhat cooler but still warm
2) Oil light flickered only at stops, turned the heat on and it went away pretty quick. It was 95 today outside.(yes I know I need an ultra gauge)
3) Intermittent knocking while driving, stopped, and also with the trans in park and neutral, but goes away once in a while.
-oil levels are good and oil is clean and not burnt smelling
-hard to tell though since the engine is caked in oil, haha
4) feels like the transfer case is chugging when I am slowing down almost like I can feel it gearing down as I slow down (lunging)
5) steering wheel to go straight has to be turned to the left about 10 degrees, I have checked bolt 11 and it is not loose, steering links engaged and turn as soon as I turn the wheel
6) really low idle at a stop

I know that is a lot of throw out there but I am curious.

1-perfectly normal, ram air is still coming into the fresh air cowl and it is picking up hot air from under the hood. Turn on the recirculate button.
2-wrong oil viscosity being used, to think of a oil, it gets hot and thins out to much causing the oil light to flicker at a hot idle.
3-wrong oil weight being used, not providing enough engine protection.
4-normal wear and tear, change gear oil to thicker 85w-140 to see if that helps, also check tire pressure and u-joints.
5-alignment, then steering adjustment, let the shop do it all when they align it.
6-bad/dirty idle control valve, bad engine temp sensor, dirty air filter, those are places to start.

Do a tune-up as well with new plugs and wires. Clean the MAF, IACV, TPS and all of the corresponding ports on the plenum.
