Does anyone have any insight on how to put the seats down without having the button to push. I can't seem to figure out how to get the seat down, I have fiddled around a bit with the piece of metal see in the photo above. Any help would be appreciated, I'm looking to take the seats out and cant get it right now.

 

Need to find a way to depress the lever inside the assembly to release the latch.

Is your button just broken, or is the entire rod gone from the assembly?
