I replaced it when I put the GMC pump in. I just don't know what fuel pump has similar specs as a 98 Land Rover. I think it is 35-40 psi and 40-45 GPM that the Land Rover needs .. ?? Does anyone know of a pump that will work for me??

I can't recall off the top of my head. Have you searched at all? There's about a brazilian threads on here about fuel pumps and many contain specific part numbers.

my '99 uses the airtex E8388M (by no means a "cheap" fix...)

i just pulled mine out yesterday morning and soldered new wire for fuel guage sending unit. No way i'm gonna pay $400 - $800 + for a new unit.

Holy sh*t!!! You know a new one from Atlantic British is only $390, right?

Regardless, we're talking about replacing just the pump, not the whole assembly. Should be around a $50 fix.

I've seen some ridiculous prices out there... ($399 cheapest; $868 most expensive). I guess I missed AB.. regardless, they can keep it for that. I hope i won't need a new pump anytime soon!

When and if I do though, yes the pump itself is the only thing I will replace.

The e83883m is the hole thing. I found a pump with similar specs. IT was for a 93 Buick la saber . It pumps around 36-41 psi. i ordered one should be here in few days. its part number is E3212. will let know how this pans out

airtex e3270 is free flow 50-60psi. I did the same thing you did and truck ran like absolute garbage. i checked key on eng not on psi and was just over 20... i am actually doing the swap today. will update.
