Default Fun Mod:

Ever since the Grand Tour with the 3 D1’s as mud, meat, and wood. I caught a glimpse several times of a D1 with a D2 steering wheel. It shares the same clockspring as the D2 so once I got my hands on a good D2 unit I slapped it into place. Once I matched the pinout under the airbag = perfect.

Zero SRS faults, PNP once the pinout under the airbag for the horn/cruise control is matched up. I like the more modern look personally and it just goes to show a D1/D2 are extremely mix/match compatible!

Camera angle makes the wheel look giant!

Copy this & all good to go, the red/black are the stereo buttons which are not used on a D1. If you trace em out under the column you might be able to use them.

be careful of the horn buttons. They can become a projectile at any given moment.
