Default Gas Mileage thread. Part XVIIXXVIV

did some calculations, well, I just plugged in the numbers...

15.76 MPG....

Lately I've just been commuting to work with it, occasionally getting stuck in Jersey traffic, meaning 3 days a week.

Pretty decent eh?

KBB lists the gas mileage for a '95 Disco at 11 city, 15 highway. Guess you're doing alright.

How many miles is that per tank of fuel? I get around 165 miles per tank. Yuk. Even tried removing my air box and adding a cold air 10'' filter.

I'm very very impressed. when I drover her home for the first time, it took over a tank full to go 75 miles.

and I did it by eating whole grains.

OUCH! that is terrible... You sir most definitely have something wrong there.

With ARB front, winch, Rack, lights and plenty of tools and recovery equipment I'm getting 300 miles per tank in town... 330 on the highway... loaded down and lots of aero drag.

I'm on my first legit all the way full tank since I put on my new tires so we'll see what I'm dealing with soon. Is there an appreciable rotational difference between 31" tires and a stocker 29"? (don't say 2") I mean will it throw off my speedo and mileage? I'm figuring with a 2.5" lift and these ridiculous tires I'm probably getting about 11. Which is near 300 miles per tank if I were to run it all the way down.

Your speedo will register 7.3% too slow. When it says you are going 60 you are really going 64.4 mph. Tire size calculator

165 miles per tank is aweful! I hope you solve that problem quickly!

O2 sensors.

I did my first week of driving my truck only back and forth to work since my new O2's were put in.
ARB winch bumper, SD roof rack, a/c on, 160 miles of mixed driving I used 1/4 tank of gas.
Before I was going through 3/4 tank of gas.
I'm happy with the 1/4 tank a week, cost me $36 to fill my truck today on my way home.
