Got 1995 discovery one started first time of owning it

I was told this rover has been sitting for awhile. I got it started after a lot of work and it pours white smoke out the exhaust for like 15 seconds then cuts off no matter how much gas you give it. Any thoughts?

Have you checked the oil for more gasoline?

White smoke is water/coolant. Blue smoke is oil. Have you pulled or swapped out the spark plugs? I'd look for one which looks squeaky clean from a steam bath.
