got a bad konck this moring

Default got a bad konck this moring

well i think the landy is not going to make it to spring i got in it at 5:30 am and win i started it the hole dam thing koncking for about 1/2 minit and thin good so i get to the job and chek the oil and she good on oil so i think the mains are shot. it mite be that it was 10 outside this moring i don,t know
just a hart stoper wow.

sounds more like a dry start, lifter bleed down etc. if its not doing it while its warmed and running move on. I would also make sure your not running some real heavy weight oil. You rmotor oil has to flow while its cold make sure you have the proper grade oil so it can reach the places it needs to.


My motor has a similar issue and its brand spanking rebuilt and new. I took it to the range rover club and they laughed! the common consensus is if its not knocking while its warmed up then forget about it.

That kinda cold and you need maybe 5W40, not 20W50... also might want to do an oil PSI check with a mechanical gauge.

I would quit driving it till you can do an oil pressure test, cols at idle and 2000 RPM's and again when warmed up at idle and 2000 RPM's. My money is on a broken oil pump.
Yes, might also be getting a dry start, what brand of oil filter are you using. Either way you are doing damage with that type of noise.
By the way, we are getting bellow 0 temps here in Denver and I never experience that sort of noise.

well i think i am done mesing with this thing i am just going to redo the hole moter cuse i need to do head gaskits on it two i love this thng but as far as tuch this thing i have to work on it so if this is how its going to be i will park it and f with it win i have the time cuss school is killing me and dont have the cash to putin the shop so we are in the denver all the time for r/c tractor pulling with 5280 pulling club if i can pass this class mey have the motor dunn in time for the 2012 pulling up there may have you tell me a good place to go 4x4 up there that is if i can get it back in one peace lol.
