Default Hard To Turn In One Direction.

UPS man came today! Brought me my hoses, however I wasn't here, when I got back my sister told me that he asked if I was home and he had been watching my posts on this forum and that his rover was broke too! .

Little weird, but if your still reading this E-MAIL me spencerfitch@gmail.com or PM me here, or just post here.

------

Back on topic, my steering is a little stiff in one direction. Its not a constant stiffness though, its just a "BUMP" when turning left from ANY point.

I believe this is from being forced to drive with limited power steering. However it could be from the BUMP I hit before steering started leaking.

Is this a common internal problem?
Rebuild Steering Box?
Replace Steering Box? [I can get one for 20$, but I would like to repair this one IF possible.]

Its not a MAJOR issue, unless something is about to GO. But Its DEFIANTLY noticeable and could be an issue if avoiding a sudden obstacle.

Get under the front and have someone turn the wheel. Try to see if something is loose or bent. I would also make sure you bled the system when you replaced the hoses.

Could it be air trapped in the system?

I agree, lay underneath as someone works it back and forth, also view it from above with hood open and see if you can isolate it to one part or another, this might help rule out various items.

What do you guys think about a used power steering pump?
