Question Hate to do it but.. Coolant?

I have seen and read many threads on coolant for D2 4.6L's but not much for D1 4.0L. What would you use for this truck? Just changed all coolant hoses, thermostat, temp sensors, and completely flushed the system. What coolant should I put back in? I just bought the car not too long ago but green coolant was being used by previous owner. Any input would be helpful.

Thanks for the input. Thats what I thought I would go with, just wanted to see what everyone else was doing. Haven't had the car long and I am used to a D2. The subject of coolant on a D2 seems to be a slippery slope on these forums. Thanks again!

Do you have any particular preference in green coolant? Peak maybe?

i have found that the brand hasn't really mattered as much as the fact that the coolant is straight up green (mixed with water). my rovers ran a little warmer when i used the Valvoline universal coolant. switched back to the old school green and temps were right where they were supposed to be. of course, since these are rovers we're talking about your mileage may vary.

Nope. Just green. You'll thank us later.

Yellow is just as bad as Dex Cool. I just drained a Jeep with G05 (yellow) and am not impressed at all. It's darker than used motor oil and probably original (17 years old). Just the amount of rust in my bucket (not the Jeep) blew my mind. Stick with green, always stick with green.
