Default Having Trouble Reinstalling Rear Drive Shaft

Hi all need some help.

Installing New Rear flex joint. Got everything disassembled OK. "Slid" the drive shaft off the forward universal joint. Took the drive shaft to local garage to have the rubber bushing removed and replace with the new one that came with the rubber joint replacement kit.

Now I am having a hard time "sliding" the drive shaft back on to the forward universal joint, It wont "slid" back on. It will advanced with forceful tap of hammer but I was really thinking it should just "slid" forward with just a push Not needing to beat it on with Hammer.

Am I doing something wrong?

How much force should I expect to re-install Drive shaft.

Thanks in advance,

John

PUT DOWN THE HAMMER before you F'up the splines on the slip yoke!
"How much force should I expect to re-install Drive shaft"....... None.

You need to align the drive shaft and slip yoke splines dead on! This is far easier with both parts off the truck. Save yourself the headache and remove the 4 nuts holding the front flange....put some grease on the slip yoke splines....align/install into drive shaft... and mount the complete drive shaft.

Thanks OR

Got the drive shaft to slip back on and replaced the rotoflex but I still have a low speed vibration coming from somewhere. What next to check / replace?
