Headliner Coming Out Tomorrow, A Good Time To.....?
Good stuff! sorry been gone a couple days... that asterisks and edit was mostly to poke fun a that other post.... your "pissy rant" and expletives being deleted. This is America! and damn it if you want a fuzzy headliner you sure a hell can have one!! (just please no low profile tires ha ha ha)
I did my headliner for:
20 bucks for the headliner material.
10 bucks for 1 gal of contact cement.
5 bucks for two brushes.
2 bucks for new elastic ropes for replacing the old ones in the nets of the back seats.
1 buck for a spare bulb light I dropped.
And, before that I had a problem with my first try. I purchased 3 cans of spray glue and it did not work. Had to do it again and purchase new headliner material. Now it is better.

It's amazing how bad a crumby headliner looks. It's funny that with all the technology poured into creating automobiles over the last 100 years, getting a piece of fabric to stay permanently attached overhead is hit or miss.

Chalkboard headliner complete. Looks pretty good, though I will withhold final judgement until I see how long it holds up to bumps and scuffs.
If nothing else I am sold on the black look and I can always purchase the black headliner material to recover mine.
I'll post pics in a day or so (too dark for photos now).

I would also suggest that you apply some graphite or any other dry lubricant to the sunroof rails.
If you have greased the rails, try to take all the sunroof out and remove all the grease. It will collect dust and particles and in a couple of years you will be without sunroofs, like me.
