Finally got to put in the new (replacement) fan switch. the old one would jam when moving it to high position. I was able to get by on the lower 2 settings. I had forgotten what a pain it is to take the center dash apart and get all the wire routed behind the radio. about 1 1/2 hours being careful not to break any old plastic, and making sure everything worked right before the final tightening of the screws.
funny thing is the old switch seems to work ok now, I am sure it fails when it gets hot. Maybe take it apart and see what melted inside.

 

had to make a quick run tonight after dark and the a/c heater control light isn't working .... spoke too soon I guess...
