Default Heater Hose Piped To Manifold: Same size both ends?

It's #47 in the coolant diagram from Rovers North. Looks like it's a different size on both ends. Is it? If not, I'd like to pick up the part at a local parts shop today and get this baby fixed! I appreciate your knowledge. :-)

The diameters are different on both ends. One end is about 19mm, the other 22mm.

Here is a better pic and part number(PEH101530 )....

You wonder why Rover engineers don't solve problems that way. Instead they think, "let's do a custom molded hose thingy." They must have had a boat load of the larger diameter nipples or something.

No, I quit many years ago wondering why engineers built cars the way the did...it gave me headaches.

That looks fantastic! Thanks antichrist! I'll be changing that out this evening. In the meantime, I ended up putting on a 3/4 and stretching the one end. Obviously this isn't a good solution, but it did get it home yesterday without a tow.

On another note, anyone know why the top radiator hose might look squished after I turn the truck off? I thought it was a cap thing, but I have a new one on and it still does it.

Thank you guys for your help! I truly appreciate all on this forum. :-)

If you have air in the system it can do that.
