Thats a great Idea! We'll all just have to hold our breath too just in case there's an exhause leak :P.

I saw one write-up regarding the seat heaters on another Rover Forum. It seems they do tend to fail due to the heating elements fracturing under the seat covers. You can gain access to them if you are brave enough to remove the leather seat covers from the actual seats. Look underneath the seats and you will see the way the covers are secured to the seat.

Do a search and you will find more information on this. It is a relatively simple fix but will involve a lot of teardown and reassembly. You basically unbolt the seats, pull them out of the vehicle to access the bottom of the seat and go from there.
