Default hello all

What's up everyone. I am new here. Just have a few questions. I am looking at buying a 95 discovery. It has 150000 miles on it. How many miles can these things go? It has all the service done at all the service intervals. How many miles can it get per gallon? And what's the bad things about this vehicle? Thanks for any and all help!

Here is a link that will give you an idea of what to look for when you go to buy. https://landroverforums.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=21328

Have you driven a Disco before? If not you need to drive as many as you can before you buy. You can expect anywhere from 9 mpg to 15mpg on the high side and it all depends on the condition of the engine. If everything is indeed done on the service intervals and the O2's are good you will probably be on the high side. If not you can expect crap for mileage. I bought mine with 155,000 miles roughly so you are not alone in that club. Mine is pretty solid for the most part. If everything is taken care of and you really spend the time and money you can get upwards of 250,000 miles out of her. Do some searches on here to find others buying experience write-ups. That will help you out. Good luck. Remember owning a rover is a sickness. Run now or forever hold your peace. LOL.

Mine has almost 160k on it now. I see plenty on autotrader with 200k+. The biggest draw back to owning an older, high mile disco is they need lots of love to stay in top order.

As stated above, I get 'bout 14mpg in the city and can push 18 highway, on a good day and if I obey the law.

I have a 95, right around 143K. Runs great, definitely some work needs to be done to it but nothing that cant wait til I have more money. Runs about 15 mpg highway if I'm lucky, 10-12 in the city. Make sure to run Premium! Other then that its a great truck!
