Exclamation Help, misterious leak

Hello guys, I recently ran from a minor problem to a big one all of a sudden.
Disco 95 was scheduled to have the oil pan gasket replaced. it was leaking from there pretty bad. Took the car out to put gas for the trip to the mechanic. Engine started running rough and first thought was check the oil level. It was low and not even thick on the dipstick, added oil.(this was my mistake)

Took it back home, now oil level is overfilled and seems to be leaking by the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe connection. The leak goes down and I see it being dripped by the y-split in the back. White smoke everywhere when engine is on.

I tried draining the oil, but that oil plug is too tight for the (1-1/8") wrench. ( I got no source of power connection for a power tool)
Any other ideas ? Was thinking of taking out the filter but started raining.

You can get some oil to drain out from the filter, even by just pouring out the filter and putting it back on. If you look just behind the water pump you will see a bolt at the bottom of the valley. This holds down the lip seal. It has a twin at the other end of the engine.

Trailer ball wrench or something a little longer may give you the leverage you need. Big adjustable wrench. But honestly, it is hard to drain just a quart.

Hope it does not come out looking like chocolate milkshake (coolant in oil).

BTW, valve covers love to leak, snug up with 8mm 12 point skinny socket. At each oil change.

CRAZY!!
i had this identical issue last week!!!, all kinds of smoke off the pipes, leaving big black puddles. it ended up being an o ring on the pressure release line on the oil pump ($4.50 and an hr in the. driveway) this leak can get everywhere and make it real hard to locate it. chances are you have a few seeping leaks in addition to this (valley, front seal, rear seal, pan gasket, valve cover gaskets ect.) and with a watchful eye theses are not the worst. but id bet on a bad seal on the oil pump somewhere by the sound of it. a 1 1/8 box ended wrench (with a big *** handle) and a little penetrating oil you should be able to break that plug free. be careful breaking it free to save your threads. It seems like maybe the plug was installed without a gasket. i use some anti seize on my drain plug to prevent a oil pan replacement.
be sure to clean the underside of your truck from all the leaking fun. although the antirust technology is so awesome it is also anti bushing technology.......

Thanks for your input! I will check that O ring. I recently had the valve covers replaced as well as the front seal. Was going to replace the oil pan gasket and this happened.
Will inspect that ring as well as give it a second try at that plug with anti seize.
I will update later

Default Closing Update

Quick update to close the thread.
I ended up buying jack stands, took the oil pan out, gasket was nowhere anymore. The oil was not mixed with antifreeze (thank goodness )
I checked the oil plug, the washer was not making full contact all around, it was wobbling, bought new one. Also the O ring was bad, replaced that too.
Replaced oil pan gasket. New oil Rotella 10w-40 and now it purrs like kitty.
It's also undergoing a 3 in lift with new springs and shocks by terrafirma and finally, all brakes replaced (pads and discs).

Thanks everyone
