I have a hole in the headliner between the drivers door and the back seat drivers side door. Looks to be some wires in there too. I am guessing it was a light at one time but it is missing now.

Also, my heater stops every once and awhile. Kind of like it was turned off, then after a bit it comes back on.. If I tap the dash above the radio, it comes back on. Sounds like a bad connection (what a surprise!!)

 

is it a rectangular trapezoidal cavity? there is a plug for that.

 

I have a 98 I just parted out, it had the trapazoidal plug thing, but no wires running to it. My blower motor cuts out when I put it on the #4 setting, but comes back on within a minute, but not on the lower settings.

 

I also have that hole no idea what it is for believe it is the same blank panel to fit where the homelink is

 

It's a hole for the ultrasonic interior alarm sensor.

 

OK so is it just a hole then leftover from earlier models? I have seen quite a few in my never seen it used

 

No, it was used on all Disco I, but it's an option.
