Hood Molding or Rubber Weather Stripping?
I was looking under the engine of the disco and noticed what appears to be Hood Molding or Weather Stripping (Rubber Material missing on the vehicle.) I don't know the proper name for it, but it appears to be what the hood sits down the rubber part is missing. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could purchase these strips at to fit. Thanks for your reply and link. Its a Disco 97 SE-7 V-8. Thanks,

If you look to the left of the coolant tank that rail leading up, I was told should a rubber strip on it and the other side as well. I used CTRL + to zoom in with firefox, but I don't see a strip there or the rigt side. The guy told me this use to work a Jaguar. Thanks for your help and my check engine light went off when I found the plug wires that were loose. Thanks,

Mine does not have rubber on top of the fenders either. There is some around the radiator (closes space between condenser and radiator) and some around the windshield wiper area. I got a hood blanket from a D2, mine did not have a hoodie either when I got it.
Same here.
I recently lost a battle with an automatic car wash! My truck died after the ECU got wet. I came across this thread while searching for ways to waterproof the area...I only had about a six inch piece of weatherstrip on each side toward the cowl.
I'm not sure how much the factory weather-stripping costs, but below is a decent solution. 10 feet was more than enough to wrap both front fenders and to cover up the sharp edges behind the headlamps.

Same here. Finally got some a couple weeks ago. Not sure if it was supposed to, but it seems to have decreased my intake temp a couple degrees...
