Hose next to main fuel hose

Question Hose next to main fuel hose
its a small hose that runs alongside the main fuel hoes that enters tank, has anyone had it leak. mine does. i'm not gonna drop the tank to fix it. i'll just do a repair to it. also what is that hose for?

It's either a fuel return or vapor hose but either way, they split and won't allow you to fill up to F. Repair is ok, replace is best.

It's only gasoline, what's a few vapors amount to anyway................

I think I can cut damaged part off and replace it.

You can but you'll end up with another part cracking. If not now within a year, I guarantee it.if not I'll buy you a coke.
