How To: Disco I - Power Steering Reservoir Mount Repair
I hope that this will be as helpful as many of your postings have been.
Lifting the hood to my 1998 Disco 1 I found that the power steering reservoir was busted. A few zip ties held it in place on the way home a a little drilling along with a few spare washers finished the job.

The mount had given way to rust and abuse With the nut still mounted securely in half the operation seemed simple enough.

Taking a drill to the brace above where it had broken off I made a new hole (using a wood block behind the drill to protect the radiator from puncture)

Using the original bolt with a few spare washers I had lying about the old brace was soon mounted near good as new (and yes it still has plenty of clearance from the hood)
