I'd love to have that engine in mine if you ever end up getting bored.
Hahahah, I'm sure you'll see a thread here about the swap at the same time as an Ad for the ol' v8.

I really can't think of a better engine to fit... if I can find a Volvo B6294T for around 750$... that'd be epic.

Where'd you source the 4.6 connecting rods and crank?

Ebay, actually. Came off a P38 RR, I believe it was a gems 1998 model. I got new piston rings as well. Paid about 900$ for the crank, pistons, connecting rods, ALL gaskets, headers, bearings, fluids, and toning up the block.

The porting and polishing was all by hand and carbide tip. Using water, I made sure all of the chambers were within .25cc of each other in volume. That was done to the heads and intake manifold.

$5,300 for a 98. It was more up front, but it was in great condition and everything was working on it. I figured it better to pay more up front for a well maintained and properly functioning example... that was a couple of months ago and today I'm headed out to fix a transmission leak... turning drivers into mechanics!

Got a 96 for 1300, needs some wiring work with windows, since previous owners burned up the rear window fuse and just wired around after doing a hatchet job. Well that and had to put in new O2 sensors, and get a factory air filter box cause nitwits put a cheap cold air intake on it. Which was driving the air temp sensor nuts lol.

$5300 : 2003 Disco 2 HSE 116,250 mi super clean Texas/Florida vehicle, under carriage no leaks, dry, appears to have either a rebuilt or aftermarket front prop shaft with 4+ grease fittings that I can see, new STI wires and Bosche +4 plugs already pre-installed, new Nitto 420s tires, check engine light was on briefly for 2 days after a heavy rain storm then disappeared but no lights on in the dash, transmission is smooth, drives wonderful. Only problem is the heat is hit or miss(live in New York). Interior looks barely used and exterior looks super clean. I pray to stay ahead of issues with proper maintenance.

I got a cleaned up stock air box with clean filter if you want it. 35$ shipped to anywhere in the US.

Keep an eye on coolant levels and get a scan gauge pronto. Watch coolant temps. Pray your head gasket is still intact. Those 4.6s scare me with all the horror stories I've heard.

Thank you I will do so on Fri when I return home from work. I have not driven that more than 40 miles one way and usually only 20 miles hwy each time I drive it. I will get that coolant looked at though thanks...
