Hey folks, i am gutting my 98 D1 and looking to install new insulation and soundproofing. For those who know, could you inform me how much square ft or sq m I need of material to cover the whole interior? I want to cover the floor, firewall, sides, and roof above the headliner. What thickness should I get? 3/8th inch, 5/8ths? 590+ mils? Some direction and advice would be nice. I am restoring and reinstalling the plastic trim after. Some of the plastic trim in the back is going to be wrapped with diamond quilt fabric liner as pictured. Suggestions? Measurements? Any guidance will help.
