Default I found a parts Disco...

So I live in a small town in far northern Minnesota. The closest junkyard with a Discovery in it is in South Dakota. SO I'm driving to the next little town over, and in the lot of this crummy junkyard...a 96 Discovery. Same as mine, but silver exterior. So I jam on the brakes and go in and talk to them, incredibly, it's only $1000. Body is fantastic, interior is a little dirty but totally intact (unfortunately, its blue), exception of a saggy headliner around the front sunroof. We get the hood open (frozen with a foot of snow on it), and dude shows me the oil dispstick, full of coolant.
So, pretty much, I have to get $1000 together because I am never going to find a parts vehicle again so near to my house.
The deal is, my Disco runs great and I have the lift in it, but has a smacked up front quarter and has also been rear-ended. And, to be frank, it looks a lot cooler (black exterior/tan interior) than the one with the toasted motor. But the interior is in rough shape, i'm pretty sure it had been stolen and has dash issues and the carpet was sliced.
SHould I swap the fenders and interior parts from the silver one and paint? Or should I swap the engines and put my lift into the silver one? Or should I try to fix the engine?
I suppose I should search for head replacement on here and see what I find.
Sorry for the ramble, let me know what you guys think.

It could turn into a money pit in a hurry just as quickly. Proceed with caution my man.

Buy it, swap the good parts to your working truck and paint as needed. Buy seat covers for the seats and call it good.
As for the "bad" engine in the donor...who cares.
It prob still runs with new head gaskets, but rip it out and sell it as is for $500 OBO.

yeah I hope i can get the price down a little and swap the parts. Its just a pain because so much little stuff is wrong with mine, but in a way I like it, it's like a no-frills truck.
well, the frills are all there, they just don't work
I'll let you guys know what parts I may have to sell

1000 bucks with a blown engine? you should get it for 400 tops.

yeah man I stopped in there again. They know I'm the only person within miles that wants it, I'm gonna go talk to them in spring. I just bought a non-running motorcycle, I can't afford to buy another non-running vehicle right now. Plus my girlfriend would freak if I bought a 5th vehicle..
