Default Massive 0455 Evap leak found and fixed. Never would have found this

Well in the middle of my 2003 CDL install I found this large gash in the Evap line. I had replaced my evap seliod last summer for a LR part. Thought it could have not gone bad again. I figured the Hi/Lo shifter cable must have worn a grove in this line. But I really dont know what caused that gash. CRAZY. Well no more shifter cabled needed. I have converted to a D1 shifter so its all linkage. I really dont know what cut that line but somthing wore into it. Probably the one time I took it to the dealer. I fixed it by wrapping it with PVC electrical tape and then coating that with to coatings of liquid electrical tape to keep it air tight. No mechanic would have ever seen or found that. Would have had to remove the console to trace the line routing.

Fixed it!

Someone would have had to have monkey arms to fix it from below. Or remove the console.

Yeah I can believe that. It looked like some critter was chewing up the foam insulator under my console. I dont know how they would get in there. But the wealthy person I bought this from in 2007 said they would park it for long periods of time, when the guy went back to Sweden. Now the acid rain etch on the windows makes sense.

Stupid rabbid squirrels

put rat traps in the wheel wells, on the top of the tranny and diffs. just remind your mechanic before your next service check! or dont, and bring it to sears haha fun for the whole family.

ive have plenty of people see cats crawling up engine bays at night to keep warm, and a few missing limbs and tails if they were asleep when the owner starter her up!! now describe that sound to a mechanic, the starter makes a horrible meowing sound on cold mornings, youll get some funny looks.
