Default I got my new regulator rollers today!

After researching the regulator roller options (and making a "square" one), I decided to order the 3D printed option on Shapeways.

I had not been sold on the cutting-board repair that we've all seen on the forums - I'm sure it will work - but, the lack of offset that the OE design uses had always bugged me. At $11.52 + shipping, I thought it was worth a shot.

They come as an assemble 2 pieces to make 1, and the interlocking looks good - they glue together around the original stud. I'll get it put together and update tomorrow. Russ

Thanks, your photo of the assembled one helps much. Looking forward to reading how they work out.

I ordered 3 sets, tracking says thursday delivery. I have read that 2-part epoxy works best on these.
Tom R- Low Bidder(forum member) designed these and Shape Ways produces them.
there have been a couple of threads on these in the last year or so.

My optimistic outlook the other day was preempted by family "responsibilities" and I still haven't installed my regulator, but I did get it assembled and ready. I opted to use a Loctite gel super glue to assemble and I'm still happy with that decision. Sliding the two halves of the roller on the pin and still using the wave washer left from the OE roller took a little thinking - I put one half on the pin and then twisted the wave washer with needle-nose pliers until the low part of the washer was facing out, which allowed the other half of the roller to slide on easily. The delay of the gel helped in not rushing me to get it assembled and it all worked perfectly. The roller looks like OE, but the plastic feels like a tougher composition. Time will tell, but I am very satisfied with this product! I've got some pics of the finished unit, but can't get into OneDrive right now - I'll post later. Russ
