Insatalling Control Arm Bushings
I just had all of the bushings replaced with the orange ones, along with 2" springs, and shocks. I read all of the posts on doing this job myself, and even knowing my truck was completely rust free I felt the job was too much of a task, so I decided to have it done at the last minute. (2) things I can tell you is it was worth every cent to have that job done by a shop as the bolts were all hard to get out (had to have one cut out as the bolt was stuck to the bushing), and they had a press on site. The other thing is the ride after is just amazing.
We ended up using the shop press, the adapter kit to press old bushngs into and some 1/2" drive sockets to press out the bushings, you want the socket or whatever you are using to be as close as possible to the od of the bushing not too big though or can gall the I'd of the control arm
Most popped right out, a few were stubbrn and took alot of pressure to get the initial pop then came out easy, my rover has spent its life in north east n.j. pa etc. And all my bolts came off my rig is rusty guess I am just lucky sometimes
