As in for some strange reason my headlining is totally soaked. Why is this strange? Because I've had a brand new car tarp over it to keep the rain out!!! So come on boys; help a lass out and figure out how this happened.

do you mean inside the housing? if so easy... the tarp, further encapsulates the heat, making for an even more humid environment. moisture was in there already, your tarp is helping to vaporize the moisture, but it cannot escape. so, the liquid to gas process is repetitive in there.
if you mean on the outside... if its on tarmac or drive, maybe a tear,,,dunno. if its on earth parking space, you are parked in a humidifier.

maybe its crying, because you covered it up and it just wants to rove.

i get water in the document space above the passenger sun visor after a heavy rain. i think rain is somehow getting in the sunroof opening or around the top of the windshield.
or it could be the myriad of reasons given above. most old discos should smell like a wet dog.

mhunterfm, ou are prolly right about the sun roof. there is a drain hose that travels down that pillar from the roof. it commonly clogs or breaks or comes loose or leaks. it needs to be cleaned out and checked out, unfortunately you have to get over the headliner to address

Well the story is that when I went to test drive it, it had rained. A lot. And the headlining was wet. I decided that this was because the seal around the back sunroof wasn't closing properly. Bought the stupid thing anyway. When I went to pick it up, it was dry. Got her home and covered her with said tarp. So is it still wet in there from the rain before the test drive? I mean it was nearly raining in there!!!

Sure. it's not producing new h2o. If so you have a golden goose. Going to have to clear tubes and address leak
