Default Jacking the Discovery I

I purchased a 95 discovery that ran but did not move. The front driveshaft turns but the Diff lock lever is seized. (Penetrating oil working while I write this) I put it in the air with stands under the axle housing and pulled the axle shafts. Found a broken CV joint and parts are on the way. I'll do both sides complete with new gaskets. I have the Terra Firma 2" lift kit and this is the time to put it in. I'm also doing some rust repair with POR 15 and some aluminum plate.

Question can I do any harm to the front differential housing by putting my floor jack directly under the differential and lifting the entire front at once? Years ago I read that it can't be done with some trucks as the housing can bend. Everything is pretty beefy on this vehicle.

Unable to find a reference in the D1 manual, D2 manual says it's fine to do so.

Position cup of hydraulic arm under differential
casing (1).The differential casing is not central to
the axle. Care should be taken when raising the
front road wheels off the ground as the rear axle
has less sway stiffness.
Raise vehicle to enable an axle stand to be installed
under left hand axle tube (2).
Position an axle stand under right hand axle tube (4).
Carefully lower jack until vehicle sits securely on both
axle stands, remove jack.

Jack stands are underneath the axle housing right now. Had to put them there to get it high enough to remove tires. I will put the stands under the frame and use the jack to raise and lower the axle for lift installation. I'm glad there is written reference to it. I know Ford says not to with the 95 Bronco I had. Thanks gentlemen.
