thanks i live on highway 26 by mount hood its crazy this time of year.as far as a lift im not to sure on only thing i have found on lifts are 3 inch lifts and they are like 400 bucks and 3 inches is not that much id rather waste money like that on a 6 inch or more,as for the bumpers i really like the arb bumpers but i also like the trimed look of a factory bumper but i cant have the winch right and a winch would be good for me and my wife becuase its really not alot of fun chaining up in almost 3 feet of snow when its 20 degrees any ideas on mounting a winch to the factory bumper

Once you take the plastic off and see what the "factory bumper" is, you will understand. It is so flimsy, the only winch it could accomodate wouldn't help you out of much.
A six inch lift on a Disco is absurd. It would throw off everything in the driveline and you would regret it.
If it running on the original springs they are sagging by now. You are better off to buy new HD extended springs (2 inch) like Old Man Emu or similar and top quality matching shocks and good tires and that Disco will go places you will not believe until you see it/ do it.

chris bob i bought the truck from a land rover dealer and they said every thing has been maintainced i also had jiffy lube do all the fluids in the truck the day after i bought it just to be sure that every thing was good and the guy at jiffy lube was like 200k holy crap this thing runns like new he tould me the only thing he thought would need to be serviced was the steering pump becuase it was leaking anyways also i replaced a few vacum lines..the one thing im wowed about is that i got this truck for 2500 bucks and i dont know if its a good buy.also i dont care to much to rebuilding the engine in the next year or so as i just rebuild the motor in my wifes escorts 4 months ago so anyways with all that being said i think ima go get the heeater in tha garage going and start cuting up the bumper happy rovvering lol

2 inch suspension lifts are common because they don't require much modification. You just needs springs. With 3 inch and above you may need to do a U-joint or double cardigan conversion with extended brake lines. The more you lift it the more the suspension and steering geometry is affected and the more expensive it gets to correct it. RTE Fab sells a 3inch kit for about $2000 that includes everything you need except shocks. Also, the more you lift it the more likely it is to roll over.
You can remove the sway bar but it can be dangerous on-road. The other option is to get a sway bar disconnect kit from Lucky8.

i think a fresh set of springs and a set of these would be best sence the suspsion is already to notch and maybe a bushing set i was just under the truck and my fron bushings are looking a little dry
