Anyone know what size wrench I need to change this and will coolant come out?

 

I can check on my spare motor for the wrench size tomorrow. What will come out... I don't know!

 

Being above the casting /freeze plug I am guessing coolant

 

Hi Tom. Bigger than 1" smaller than 1 1/16", but seems 1 1/16" will work.

Smaller than 27mm, I'm guessing 26mm but I don't have one. Seems 27mm will work but a little loose. Sorry for the not so definitive answer.

OK we tried to change the sensor, broke loose and turns and turns will not unscrew any ideas? Don't think it is stripped , sensor 2 piece maybe?

 

Did coolant come out? I'm going to pull the knock sensor on my parts car this weekend, wondering what fluid will hit me in the face! I'll let you know if mine just spins on Saturday. Did you figure out the wrench size?

 

I can't get it out, guy my replacement came from says no coolant

 

I thought some might have leaked by as it was loose. The guy that took it out, his came right out? No spinning?

 

It screws into a huge slug molded onto the block, I thought the whole slug was the sensor till I got the replacement,guess we have to fight with it
