Long time forum lurker but this is my first question. Searched quite a bit so hopefully not a repeat.
R380 was running low on fluid so took the opportunity to change fluid in transfer case as well. Transfer case fluid not low. However when I started the truck up and the fluids got hot a stead stream of oil is observed coming from between the transmission and transfer case. It is coming directly out of what looks to be a weep hole on the LT230 side of the mating surface. There is a lot of oil coming out. Like a quart every 20 minutes or so... Pics attached. One showing my leak. The other showing I think the location of the weep hole on the output shaft side of a R380.
Anyone seen this before? Assume perhaps a leak on the LT230 side, but how could that be given the transmission is the side that was low? Could it be the transmission is sending fluid over to the transfer case?

hanks for any experience you might be able to offer!
To me it looks like gear oil, however not all that certain b/c I'm running redline in the transmission which looks mostly similar to my eye. Also confusing because it is the trans fluid which gets low rather than the gear oil.
There is a ton of oil dripping out (like a quart every 10 mins standing at idle) so I think I would see a drop in gear oil in the transfer box, which I really don't. I guess I need to pop the transfer box off completely to figure this out?
I think I'd confirm the vent for the R380 isn't blocked before pulling the LT230. This is only happening when it's hot, which makes me wonder is pressure building inside the R380 due to the vent being clogged or pinched off well, and the pressure is pushing the MTF out the output shaft seal.
I've not had this problem. I haven't had to pull my LT230 either. <knock on wood> Wish I could help more. Looking forward to someone with some really good knowledge on the R380 to speak up.
