Anyone found decent led headlights to work in d1 or d2 housings

 

A friend has been running these in his LR4 and has been very happy. I am on the edge of buying a set for the LR3.

Ok is the a brand or type to stay away from since prices are all over the place

I run d2 housings

My wifes usec to her lr3 projector hid lites a nd says mine are to dim when she needs to drive it at nite

 

I have had bad results with Kensun, total garbage. Pattern was crap, housings were fine with HID and halogen. Also the heat sink was so big I had to chop the retaining rings for fitment.

 

Im talkin d2 glass housings 9003 bulb, bulbs are held in by metal bail iirc

I see some of t he led headlights use phillips leds some use other style

 

understood, the bulb itself did not put light out well. Other bulbs worked fine in the housing just the Kensun bulbs did not work that well.

The style in the first link work nicely though with clean light out put and a defined cut off of the light

 

Yeah i see tons on ebay but amazon returns are easy if they are crap
