Leverage Gets The Lugs Loose
Like Tom, I also used a slight bit of never-seize on the lug studs.
I replaced my screwed up "Capped" LR dressy lug nuts with the solid style ones used on the RR Classic. Never have to worry about the caps again!!
I also bought one of the 4 way lug wrenches from Advanced Auto for about twenty bucks. It is great for loosening any tight lug nut, just make sure it has a 1 1/16 inch socket made on, since that is the size a DI uses. I just need to fix something to clamp it in the back cargo area.
A four way lug wrench is hard to beat. Do not allow the idiots at a tire place to pound away on your lug nuts and make sure they have the correct size socket or they will screw up those fancy shiny caps.
And the lug nuts should always be loosened prior to jacking the wheel off the ground.
