Default Lifters: Made in USA?

Has anybody bought a good set of lifters recently? Made in USA preferably.

i think there was a discussion on DiscoWeb about lifters not too long ago.

found the thread.

and, here's a copy/paste from special ed over on the same site. If you want to just replace lifters alone go to topline/johnson lifters. they are still quality US made and top quality.

Thanks for pointing me to the GM lifters. Not really interested in roller lifters. Still in troubleshooting mode. Ran motor with right side valve cover off. Narrowed down the problem by ear (stethoscope) to cylinder 6. Both 6 EX and 8 IN pushrods are spinning way faster than the rest, and they are nearly synchronized. Less pressure maybe. Going to check the rocker arms next, since they were installed new not very long ago, especially the bearing parts at each end. If those are bad, won't need to get into the lifters (also a new set). But still suspect lifters at this point.

Hopefully I found the problem today. Rocker cup for the pushrod was loose. Going to start a new thread about rocker arms.
