Default Looking at buying a beat up Disco 1

I am looking at 97, with 150K
The interior trashed but thats not a big deal, I work at a car audio shop and we do custom interiors so no big deal.

It runs like a top, it needs a battery but it fires right up.

The 2 major problems the high low selector doesn't feel right, it doesn't seam to lock in like its bent or bending,( I know if you dont use it they can lock up) it drives but the transfer case just feels wrong. Problem 2 theres a grinding noise from the front end, when you drive it. Its at a tow yard and I didn't see any flat bed trucks so Im assuming it was towed by dragging the front wheels.

any help would be great.

Man, that ain't true. It is worth at least 50 bucks, maybe even 100 if the wheels and tires are decent......

If your looking for a cheap rover, consider buying my 98 50th edition discovery. Fully loaded with all options. 2" suspension lift kit, slotted rotors, ceramic pads, new steering damper, tuneup. New filters new fluids. Interior is fair condition, most electronics work just fine though. Engine starts up just fine, but missfires while stepping on the gas. Biggest problem is the entire rear driveshaft needs to be replaced. Rig has 195k. And needs an alighnment. Only asking $800. Let me know if your interested.

No if it's free and he's trying to fix it up, it still ain't worth it when you can buy decent ones for 1k with interior that hadn't been drug

This guy wants $1900 for it, I live in Arizona. It seams all land rovers out this way are over priced.

I just started working with a group that supports an orphanage in Guetamala. If you will donate it, I'll give you a receipt for a lot more for tax purposes. I'll fix it and send it on down to them. My old girlfriend deals with shipping containers and will take care of my shipping if you will consider donating it to a really worthy cause.
