Loud Noise when I change from parking to any other gear

Lol, no, I had post #9. You had post #10. I think you owe me a beer. I prefer St. Pauli Girl.
The little stick shift in front of the gear shift only shifts from four-wheel high gear, to four-wheel low gear by moving it forward and backward, and locks the transfer case when moved to the left. With only one prop shaft installed, if you move the little stick shift lever to the right (unlocking the transfer case) your vehicle will no longer move, because all torque is going to be delivered to the side of the transfer case with no resistance (the side missing a prop shaft).
Advise is to get a replacement rear prop shaft installed along with a new roto-flex joint (the rubber piece at the rear axle). After that, drain your transfer case fluid and look for signs of damage (metal shavings in the fluid or on the magnet on the drain plug). Post a picture of the fluid or the drain plug on the forum for us to see how bad it is.

" Only 3 grand" for it huh, and that was without a rear drive shaft and the rubber thingy. What a deal you got.
Now another 2 grand or so to replace the transfer case after it gets trashed out.
Hope you do love it.

Don't forget to drain the transfer case fluid (after you have removed the fill plug to make sure you can refill it) and post a picture of what is on the magnet on the drain plug to see what kind of famage has been done.
You might want to do this while waiting for the prop shaft to arrive.

I thought the same thing you are when I first read the post, 3K , but then I saw where he was and I thought that may be a good price there. Who knows. Prices certainly can't be equivalent to around here. Just saying don't get to up on his case lol. We are used to you being abrasive, he is new. Break him in gently.
