Default Low Mass Air Flow MAF reading

I just bought a bluetooth OBD II and installed torque software. I noticed that my MAF reading is very low:

0.1 at idle
0.5 at mid throttle
1.2 at full throttle

It is a 1998 Discovery and the check engine light is on, but it is a P1193 and P1194 which is dealing with an O2 heater circuit. The car does run very well.

Do you think the MAF sensor is really reading that low, or do you think it is likely an issue with the software misinterpreting the reading?

Any thoughts or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

According to my Ultra Gauge my MAF only reads like .72 while cruising and climbing a hill.
I should add I have no idea what the readings are supposed to be.

Here's some pages on the MAF. In Roverspeak, it talks about Kg/hr on one chart and g/sec on the other, so some math conversion would be needed. But the chart indicates the volts would vary some with air flow, and codes will be thrown if out of range.
