Default lucas maf

so i planned to clean the maf today, its a lucas pn err5595a. Came out easy enough and the screen was easy to remove, my question is that most of the videos i see are people pulling the sensor out of the housing and spraying it. mine has 4 rivets so do i just spray a few bursts down the plastic hole behind the screen and do i make sure it clean the whole bore or just the little wires down there. i dont want to make an expensive mistake so im asking first

If you use made-for-MAF cleaning spray, and you do this when the item is cold, not plugged in or switched on, because a tiny spot inside is heated to 350F + ambient. So cold spray + that equals snap. I took the screen off of mine to clean, but it is from a 97.

Dont remove the screen, just spray the whole damn thing, let it dry and put it back.

actually did remove the screen. cleaned it and she seems to be running smoother, felt a lot less sluggish off the start.
